I purchased the Rain Reserve system at an eco display in Geneva, Illinois. Why? I finally found a system that met my needs. I live in a townhome (subject to association rules) so I wanted to hide the rain barrel in the garage. The problem was - what happens to the overflow? The Rain Reserve system solved this problem. Check out the photos that follow (four pics).

The fist two pictures show the rain catcher attached to a downspout. To blend in with the home I had to sand the unit, then prime it, then paint it to match the downspout (I used Rustoleum High Performance Enamel spray). Using the hole saw provided with the unit, I drilled through the exterior wall of the house into the garage. Three-quarter inch PVC pipe was pushed through the hole. It was terminated on the outside with a male threaded adapter and on the inside with a 90 degree elbow (more pictures follow). A piece of white one inch tubing was cut and installed between the rain collector and the male threaded adapter. The white tubing was wrapped with brown Duct tape to match the spray paint.
